RMC’s Pressure and Temperature Relief (P & T Relief) Valves are safety controls that ensure that the water temperature in a pressurised unvented water heater cannot exceed 99° C if the normal thermostatic controls fail.

These valves may guard against overtemperature and overpressure hazards wherever water is stored in unvented containers. Australian Standard AS 3500-4 requires this.
